Kurz gesagt: Deine Finanzdaten (Buchungen, Schulden, Depot, Notizen) werden nur in deinem Browser gespeichert. Es gibt keine Anmeldung, keine Datenbank und keine Cookies. Wir sehen deine Zahlen nicht.

1. Hosting

Die Seiten liegen bei GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., USA). Beim Aufruf verarbeitet GitHub technisch notwendige Daten wie IP-Adresse, Zeitpunkt und aufgerufene Seite, um die Seite auszuliefern und vor Angriffen zu schützen. Mehr dazu im Datenschutzhinweis von GitHub.

2. Besucherstatistik

Wir nutzen Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare Inc., USA). Es setzt keine Cookies, legt kein Profil einzelner Besucher an und erkennt dich nicht wieder. Gezählt werden zusammengefasste Werte wie Seitenaufrufe, Herkunftsseite, Land und Gerätetyp. Grundlage ist unser berechtigtes Interesse, das kostenlose Angebot zu verbessern (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

3. Kurse und Statistiken

Kurse, Wechselkurse und Inflationszahlen werden täglich automatisch geladen (Yahoo Finance, Eurostat, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office for National Statistics) und als Datei mit der Seite ausgeliefert. Dabei fließen keine Daten über dich.

Suchst du im Depot einen Wert, der nicht in unserer Liste steht, fragt dein Browser den Kurs bei Bedarf über den öffentlichen Vermittler proxy.cors.dev bei Yahoo Finance ab. Übertragen werden das Kürzel und technisch bedingt deine IP-Adresse. Kryptokurse kommen bei Bedarf von CoinGecko, ersatzweise Wechselkurse von frankfurter.app.

4. Bitcoin-Wallet

Nur wenn du selbst eine Bitcoin-Adresse verbindest, fragt dein Browser den Bestand bei mempool.space ab. Dabei werden die Adresse und deine IP-Adresse übertragen.

5. Kursdiagramme

Im Währungsrechner wird ein Diagramm von TradingView geladen. Dabei erhält TradingView deine IP-Adresse und technische Browserdaten.

6. Links zu WhatsApp und Amazon

Links zum WhatsApp-Kanal und zum Buch auf Amazon laufen über eine kurze Weiterleitung auf geld-kompass.com/go/, damit wir anonym zählen können, wie oft sie genutzt werden. Erst nach dem Klick gelten die Datenschutzregeln von WhatsApp bzw. Amazon. „Per WhatsApp teilen“ öffnet WhatsApp mit einem vorbereiteten Text. Gesendet wird nur, was du selbst abschickst.

7. Deine Daten löschen

Da deine Finanzdaten nur auf deinem Gerät liegen, löschst du sie selbst: im Geld-Kompass unter „Daten & Quellen“ mit „Alle eigenen Daten löschen“ oder über die Website-Daten deines Browsers. Du hast außerdem die Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Widerspruch und Beschwerde bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde.

Privacy

In short: Your financial data (entries, debts, portfolio, notes) is stored only in your browser. There is no sign-up, no database and no cookies. We never see your numbers.

1. Hosting

The pages are hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., USA). When you visit, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time and requested page to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See the GitHub privacy statement.

2. Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare Inc., USA). It sets no cookies, builds no profile of individual visitors and does not recognise you again. It counts aggregated values such as page views, referring page, country and device type, based on our legitimate interest in improving this free service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Prices and statistics

Prices, exchange rates and inflation figures are loaded automatically every day (Yahoo Finance, Eurostat, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office for National Statistics) and delivered as a file with the site. No data about you is involved.

If you search for a holding that is not on our list, your browser may request its price from Yahoo Finance via the public proxy proxy.cors.dev. The ticker and, for technical reasons, your IP address are transmitted. Crypto prices may come from CoinGecko, backup exchange rates from frankfurter.app.

4. Bitcoin wallet

Only if you connect a Bitcoin address yourself, your browser asks mempool.space for the balance. The address and your IP address are transmitted.

5. Price charts

The currency converter loads a chart from TradingView. TradingView receives your IP address and technical browser data.

6. Links to WhatsApp and Amazon

Links to the WhatsApp channel and to the book on Amazon go through a short redirect on geld-kompass.com/go/ so we can count anonymously how often they are used. Only after the click do the privacy rules of WhatsApp or Amazon apply. “Share on WhatsApp” opens WhatsApp with a prepared text; only what you send yourself is sent.

7. Deleting your data

Because your financial data lives only on your device, you delete it yourself: in the Money Compass under “Data & sources” with “Delete all my data”, or via your browser's site data. You also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and to complain to a data protection authority.
